Pacamara Coffee Roasters

Birthday brunch at Pacamara Coffee Roasters :-)

It was full house when we arrived at Pacamara at about 11.45am on a Sunday morning. We were a group of 7 so we left our mobile number down and were told to wait 45 minutes :(

Had some quick bites at Old School Delights!

Little did we know, they called us in 15 minutes and said our table is ready hahahaha oh dear

White - 5 oz

Coffee are sold in sizes here: 3oz ($4.50), 5oz ($5) and 7oz ($5.5)

Continuing their legacy from OZ Coffee Roasters, I'm thoroughly in love with their coffee!

Using the El Salvadorean Pacamara Arabica coffee beans, the coffee was smooth and rich with minimal acidity :)

Oven-baked 5 cheese macaroni with truffle oil ($18)

This was average to me, though the sister loved it! A combination of parmesan, feta, emmental, mild cheddar and mozzarella was used but we couldn't really tell hahaha

Couldn't really taste much truffle though, perhaps the cheese were too overwhelming.

Breakfast Platter ($22)

Multigrain toast with fresh avocado, smoked salmon, back bacon, baked mushrooms, potato hashbrown, and choice of eggs (we chose scrambled)

A big breakfast like this can never go wrong! A few of my favourite things :') The scrambled eggs were buttery but overcooked though.

Salted Caramel Banana French Toast ($16)

Half the battle is won when brioche are used for french toasts ;) This is great for the sweet tooth! It felt more like a dessert than a main haha

Served with homemade salted caramel sauce, whipped cream and heaps of granola. A delight to eat but recommended to share.

Lemongrass Ricotta Hotcakes ($17.5)

Fluffy ricotta hotcakes infused with lemongrass, topped with mixed berry compote and served with maple syrup.

Having heard bad reviews about their red velvet pancakes, I thought these pancakes tasted alright! They were fluffy, moist and refreshing due to the lemongrass. Not the best pancakes in town but still passable :) The tangy pancakes paired well with the sweet mixed berry compote and maple syrup!

 Penne Carbonara ($16)

Classic Italian Carbonara with bacon, baby asparagus, onion & cream sauce

Pretty light on the palate, unlike the usual Carbonara which can be too rich and creamy. Baby asparagus were cute and provided a nice crunch too :)

Love the white, bright, spacious space with drop lamps hanging down from the ceiling. Their huge glass windows provided ample sunlight (awesome for photos!) and lit up their entire place :) It will be a wonderful relaxing place if it wasn't so crowded!

Note that there are no individual tables here, only large colonial tables.
